Helloooo, I hope you are all very well and enjoying the beginning of autumn? I have a new painting to share with you.

Watercolour painting is not a medium I’m particularly familiar with so starting this Dragon painting was a bit daunting.

It was made as part of my course ‘A year of magic and fairytales’ by Willowing which started in January but I am only still doing the taster sessions :)

I’ve never really had a fondness for dragons but this painting reminded me of how much I love the fantasy genre in art, films, novels and games. A genre that I have been a fan of all my life, from reading the Belgariad by David Eddings, watching the Lord of the Rings films and playing games such as The Elder Scrolls.

Much of my career in video was spawned from watching Lord of the Rings, I became a Vj mixing clips live, to bands and dj’s, then I became a producer and editor for a UK broadcaster.

I then decided to learn 3D in order to explore the fantasy genre more fully and without the restrictions of video. Having spent the last 5 years learning all that I could about 3D production I am only now putting it all together to make the cinematics that I dreamt of.

Having completed my 3D studies I am also now able to return to painting, so this blog should be more active in the future.

Byesy bye for now, my lovelies
