Yay! its May! And time for a cool new ‘Art for your Screens’!
This month we are celebrating the colour Blue! As this is my favourite colour! And Jay-Z’s too so I am told.. :)
This artwork will look fantastic illuminated by your screen, as the colour blue seems to come to life when touched by white light.
The digital file can be found in my etsy shop here
I painted this piece to explore the contours of a female back and also to develop my style of painting that features a lot of ethereal transparency.
I have linked a video below which shows a speed paint of how I approached the construction of this piece.

I made a fast forward video with commentary, featuring myself painting a girl on a lion.
Hello!! How are things? I am good and really enjoying having some time off!! Whooo! Ive hardly had any time off in the past 2 years so am looking forward to being able to focus on some personal projects and going on some trips.
I managed to finish my ‘Girl Riding a Lion’ painting! This took for ever due to lack of time and the fact that it’s quite a new style of art for me.
I tried to paint it in the style of a children’s book illustration and it was a really enjoyable process.
I’ll be back soon with some news about what been happening in my life and also a fast forward video of creating this artwork..
Hello, I finshed this painting a while ago, but had been meaning to paint it for over a year as part of a series called ‘Nymphs and Quotes’.
I have posted the other paintings in the series below.
Hello! I recently finished another painting! I tried to paint this boy on a giraffe in an illustrative style more suited to a children’s book.
It took a lot longer than I thought but I am very happy with the result and hope to make more in the future.
I have also linked the speed paint of this artwork below.
Hello, how is everyone today? I hope you are doing good!!
I recently finished this painting that was inspired by a Life Book lesson by Effy Wild! Although it looks nothing like the actual lesson…
I wanted to show how we all have an inner light that can either be hidden, or we can let it shine brightly, enhancing and illuminating our daily lives whilst also shining on the lives of others.
Sometimes this can be scary as we can be afraid of opening our true selves to the world for fear of disapproval, however one of my teachers, the amazing Lisa Nichols!!
Put it so perfectly when she said, ‘When your light shines too brightly for some people, just hand them a pair of sunglasses” I love that sooo much. :)
Here is a quick speed paint of the artwork which was originally posted on my instagram here https://www.instagram.com/joanneseale/
