It’s time for the November ‘Art for your Screens’!!
This month we feature Yin Yue and her sweet little dog, her name means music and she is one of my ‘Sweet Girls’ paintings.
You can download it here https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/738006472/art-for-your-screens
This delightfully sweet girl Yin Yue will brighten up your mobile display.
‘Art For Your Screens’ is a new way of owning and displaying art on your digital devices.
This artwork is for display on your mobile phone either as a wallpaper or screen saver so that you can have it with you at all times!
This was my first ever VJ gig!! It was at the Astoria, Leicester Square in London for top reggae band Morgan Heritage!
You could say that I threw myself in at the deep end there! But I went on to mix live visuals for many other reggae bands after that. It was an amazing experience 😁
I decided to be come a VJ or Visual Jockey after seeing a concert performance given by the VJ’s as Yeast https://yeastculture.org/
They were mixing video clips in time to the music of Nitin Sawhney http://www.nitinsawhney.com/ I had never seen anything like it in my life.
I chatted to the VJs after the show and they offered to train me to become a VJ myself!!
Thus began a 10 year journey into all things live video, I performed at Apple UK private events, went on tour with jazz stars, played to thousands in Trafalgar Square etc etc
It was a wonderful time in my life.
I’ve been sharing bits of my work over on Instagram as part of ‘Social October’
Including this video, which was commissioned by the legendary jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine and features his band member, violinist Omar Puente.
I filmed, directed and edited the video whilst the band were performing in London.
It was such a memorable experience and honor to work with such talented musicians!
Helloooo!! I hope you are all doing very well and looking forward to the springtime which will hopefully be upon us soon!!
I have been busy catching up with artwork which was sorely neglected over the past year due to me having to refocus on a few other projects and life stuff, it has all been good and I am ready to step into my art practice again.
I have been posting snippets over on my instagram account here https://www.instagram.com/joanneseale
Including this Turntable Promarker sketch that I created during the summer last year :)
I hope you enjoy it!!

Hello!! I decided to make a new format of painting fast forward video which is more like a music video. I used to mix live visuals at events when I started my creative journey and it was fun to incorporate some of thos clips into a painting fast forward. The music is ‘I Saw You’ by Black Sun Empire
I’ve always loved Drum and Bass music, mostly because it is hectic and chaotic, which weirdly enough makes me feel more relaxed.. lol
As a little bonus here is one of the first videos I ever produced! It was filmed at a warehouse party callled the ‘Ministry of Unsound’ which was run by a freind, we had some amazingly wonderful times there!!
Throwback Thursday! I never post these but thought I would today!
In 2010 I was commissioned by jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine CBE to create an artist video for his band member, violinist Omar Puente.. here it is..
Some of you may know that I was once a VJ (visual jockey) and mixed live video and graphics at various concerts and events under the name of VJ Silent Eclipse for a number of artists such as jazz musicians Dennis Rollins and Courtney Pine, rapper TY of Ninjatune, and dance music pioneers 4Hero :)
I no longer VJ but still make visual clips for live performance and have released some on a new website here
I hope you enjoy them :)
