Monthly Archives: January 2013

Following a trip to RSPB Rainham my recent creations seem to feature birds, I’ve also been growing a wildlife garden at my home for the past 6 years and am always amazed at the number of different species of birds that visit.
Including my resident Robin who chirps away on the garden table whenever he sees me in the kitchen plus numerous other species who use the garden as a dinner table including Wrens, Blackbirds, Wood Pigeons, Jays, Crows, Blue Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Great Tits, Goldfinches, a Fieldfare, Collared Doves, Starlings, Spotted woodpeckers etc.
They are all great fun to watch whilst I’m drinking my morning coffee… :)

This bird in cage was cut on my Silhouette Cameo

And this is a copy of a bird painting by a very talented artist that I used to practice my water colour painting

January 2013 desktop wallpaper calendar

I’m a bit late with this months calendar, have been too engrossed in cutting paper :) but the good news is that I aim to update my blog more regularly in 2013

Hope you all have a great 2013, mine started out really well ;) and am looking forward to sharing my art/nature/craft/science projects with you over the coming year..lets make it a good one!!

Here is your January 2013 wallpaper, it’s the side view of an Achillea flower head, I love the detail in the flower stalk pattern and yellow of the stacked rows of flower petals. I hope to paint it one day :)
