New Painting – Ejina Break Free

I’ve actually managed to finish my Ejina painting!! YAY! This painting took a lot out of me as I haven’t painted realistic faces for some time, plus I never sketch.. something I need to change, I started making art 3 years ago and hopefully with more practice I will find the process a bit easier in future :)
I hope you like her? I think she looks very pissed off.. with a bit of a ‘wt actual f’ expression on her face lol

Work in progress – ‘Ejina’ Break Free

Hello, back again, I’ve been going through a process of re-focus that will put my art and fitness at the top of my priorities so no more gaming for me for a while at least… (I was lost in an online game for around 18 months.. I loved every minute of it too :) )

So this painting was sitting on my bedroom floor for months… if not a year… in an unfinished state and I decided to bring her to life as a reintroduction to my art regime.
She is called Ejina and is a character I created to explore my history and the history of my ancestors, she is part African, Native American and European and she lives in the 18th century..
This painting will be called ‘Break Free’ once finished.
