RSPB Rainham May 2014

I went on the Sunday Stroll at RSPB Rainham yesterday. I last went in the winter of 2012 so was very excited to see what was there during springtime :) It was a fantastic day, the sun shone, the birds sang and our guides were very good, we learnt lots about the folklore surrounding plants…

My Hanging Hearts cut file

Someone has sent me a picture of my Hanging Hearts SVG paper cutting template cut on their Silhouette Cameo using the new version 3 Silhouette Studio software. I think they look lovely!

Lifebook 2014 – Tree of Life

I found this lesson hard, not sure why, but I did enjoy painting the tiny flowers and plants as well as practicing lettering. The chaos…

Lifebook 2014 – Positive Life Connections

In this class we had to emphasise positive connections in our lives via mixed media, using layering and brayering and a paint over collage technique for the face. I think everyone should have butterflies in their hair…

Lifebook – The joy of intention

This Lifebook lesson required us to ‘be in the moment’ and use layers of acrylic ink, paint and collage to make a statement about the now. I really enjoyed writing with a brush and inks. I made an art journal page with the left over paint.

Lifebook 2014 – Pop up positive!

In this lesson we had to make a pop-up page with a cover containing collage, paint and positive attributes, the pop up also had to illustrate 3 attributes. I made a fun journal page with the left over paint :)

Lifebook 2014 – Spray inks with paper cuts

I enjoyed the spray ink lesson so much that I decided to make another one, this time using layered papercuts. I sprayed and splattered Dylusions ink sprays onto the page, sketched out the side profile head and checked the placement of the painted silhouette cameo paper cuts. Then I added details to the face.

Lifebook 2014 – Spray ink Ostara

In this lesson we had to use spray inks, negative space and a side profile head. This is Ostara and she is carrying springtime in her hair :)

Drawing faces

I practiced drawing a face using my Lifebook lessons. I can’t quite believe that a week ago I wouldn’t have been able to do this. Thank you Tamara and all the other teachers at Lifebook 2014 Everyone should do this course! :)
