Hello, how is everyone today? I hope you are doing good!!
I recently finished this painting that was inspired by a Life Book lesson by Effy Wild! Although it looks nothing like the actual lesson…
I wanted to show how we all have an inner light that can either be hidden, or we can let it shine brightly, enhancing and illuminating our daily lives whilst also shining on the lives of others.
Sometimes this can be scary as we can be afraid of opening our true selves to the world for fear of disapproval, however one of my teachers, the amazing Lisa Nichols!!
Put it so perfectly when she said, ‘When your light shines too brightly for some people, just hand them a pair of sunglasses” I love that sooo much. :)
Here is a quick speed paint of the artwork which was originally posted on my instagram here https://www.instagram.com/joanneseale/
Helloooo!! I hope you are all doing very well and looking forward to the springtime which will hopefully be upon us soon!!
I have been busy catching up with artwork which was sorely neglected over the past year due to me having to refocus on a few other projects and life stuff, it has all been good and I am ready to step into my art practice again.
I have been posting snippets over on my instagram account here https://www.instagram.com/joanneseale
Including this Turntable Promarker sketch that I created during the summer last year :)
I hope you enjoy it!!

Hi all, I’m sharing some of my painted sketches from a few months ago starting with this one of a bronze leaping cat, I saw it at the British Museum and adored the design, style, aesthetic, the form and colour. It is simply adorable so I decided to sketch it too..
I love this cat..

I’ve been playing with sketch pens on my electronic cutter the Silhouette Cameo. I replaced the blade with a pen then converted some cut files to sketch designs in the Studio software then sketched onto watercolour paper before painting them with my new Gouache paints… I luv gouache!! :)
