Hello everyone! I hope you are well and catching those last rays of summer!
This week I’m sharing with you a new Sweet Girl painting! She is Yin Yue which means Music in Chinese Manderin, she is sooo cute!
Hopefully I will be uploading a how to painting tutorial for this sweet girl soon, I hope you all manage to paint her too!
Hello! It’s September already! Whoosh that was quick, I hope you all had a great summer and spent lots of time by the sea!! I know I did!!
In celebration of all things Ocean! this months Art For Your Screens features a gorgeous Sea Nymph or Nereid.
She mostly spends her time swimming around the rivers in our capital cities, enjoying the sites and sounds of human urban life whilst remaining unseen, but at times she yearns to see the sea and would love for you to help her get to it…
That is her back story… so cute!! lol
You can down load the file to your collection here
Its always nice to change the displays up once in a while to keep things looking Fresh!!
Hello everyone! its August hurrah! I hope you will be taking a well earned holiday this month whilst the sun is shining and the beach is calling!
This month’s ‘Art For Your Screens’ features the Nubian/Egyptian goddess Mehyt, she is named as such because she was the consort of Onuris, a hunter god who tracks down Mehyt in Nubia and brings her to Egypt as his wife.
The file can be found here
Such a sweet and romantic story, it has made me want to learn more about the mythology of Nubia in particular and the various gods and goddesses of the region.
Art For Your Screens is a new way of owning and displaying art on your digital devices such as a computer display or digital TV.
The artwork can be used as a screensaver or wallpaper and is a fantastic way to have artwork displayed in your office or home.
Mehyt – The Distant Goddess is a mythical being originating from Nubia and Egypt, she is represented here with colourful paper cut flowers in her hair and a beautiful side profile.

Hello!!! Long time! I hope everyone is well?
Things have been a bit quiet here but lots has been happening behind the scenes most of which have been documented on my instagram here
But I will try to start a new weekly news roundup for my blog and website. Watch this space!!
So this new painting sort of evolved from an abstract art exercise that developed into a painting about current affairs.
It is called ‘Love in a time of Ebola’ and features acrylic on canvas.. Yes I am now working regularly on canvas!!
The painting sort of just appeared but it started with the eyes.
I don’t know where the Ebola reference came from but it was probably something that I had been reading and thinking about.
The 2 figures sort of look like either space travellers or androids and that meant something to me too.
But art is really about what you see in an image.
This painting is about affection, needs, love, distance, restriction, health, humanity etc etc.

Hello everyone! I hope you are well?
Yesterday I finished another quotes lady!! Whoo! In this painting I wanted to express how often we can look outside ourselves for validation and assurance that everything is ok.
But I think it is true to say that resting in ones self and being true to yourself can offer the best sense of wholeness and security possible.
It can take a lot of work to get to that stage, a lot of people refer to this as ‘The Work’ but I think it is a journey we all need to go on for a more fulfilling life.
